Founded in 1997 and located in the picturesque village of Sully, in the Vale of Glamorgan, Sully Indoor Bowls Club features 8 newly refurbished rinks and a lounge boasting panoramic views overlooking the Bristol channel. The club is proud to have over 1,000 members of all abilities.
Sully IBC was already using the bowls management system developed by Horizon but acknowledged that it was overly complicated and difficult to manage, which prompted them to start looking for a better, simpler alternative.
Alongside a number of other clubs, they attended a demo of the Bowlr system at Dolphin Indoor Bowls club and liked what they saw. When Horizon announced that they would no longer be providing support or further updates to their system, Sully IBC decided that switching to Bowlr was the right decision for the club moving forward and got in touch with our team.
Keen to make the most of Bowlr’s entire offerings and to streamline every aspect of their administration and league management, Sully IBC chose to incorporate our full set of league and membership management modules:
As part of the integration, we developed a new website for the club that includes an access portal for members. Once logged in using their member number and password, they can check availability, make rink bookings, check fixtures and make payments online without the need of an administrator.
Sully Indoor Bowls Club have now been using Bowlr since the second half of 2018 and have seen a huge improvement in the way their leagues are managed and run. Administration times have been successfully reduced and members appreciate the more simplified layout of Bowlr in comparison with the previous system.
