Cotswold Bowls Club based in Stroud celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018 and is now rated among the best bowls facilities in Gloucestershire. The club features an outdoor green, six rinks and host multiple leagues and friendly matches throughout the year.
Prior to the implementation of Bowlr, Cotswold Bowls Club was struggling with lengthy administration times to create and manage league fixtures, whilst rink allocation was also not being achieved to its full potential. The club recognised that in order to improve and grow, a more efficient management software would be required.
After attending a demo for the Bowlr system at Dolphin Bowls club in Poole during late 2017, Cotswold Bowls Club were impressed with what they saw and began discussing their specific requirements with our team.
We suggested that our Core Bowlr System would be an excellent starting point, our Membership Management and League Management Modules offering them quick and easy solutions to their administration problems. Also included in our Core System was the Online Booking Module, to help cut down time spent by staff taking bookings over the phone, and the Diary TV Module.
The club also opted in for the additional Competition and Score Input Modules, which would help save a lot of time when it came to recording members’ scores at the end of matches. The Knock-out Competition Module automatically generates first-round fixtures and allows quick and easy printing of the clubs own score cards and summaries, whilst the Score Input Module allows members to use wall-mounted ipads to input their scores after each match.
In addition, Cotswold Bowls Club had a website that was difficult to navigate as well as outdated. b4b designed a new website for the club for excellent cost that is fully integrated with the Bowlr Management System.
Despite having only been using Bowlr for less than 6 months, the managers at Cotswold Bowls Club are already noticing the benefits. Not only has the League Management module made it quicker and easier than ever to compile various leagues, it has also ensured that rink usage is fully maximised.
